Flooded Basement in Waterford, WI

This basement flooded in Waterford, Wi was the result of a derecho that hit the SE Wisconsin area. A derecho is a line of intense, widespread and fast-moving thunderstorm. The flooding at this house was so severe that it began to come up into the stairs leading into the upper portion of the house. It was around six to seven feet deep. A pump had to be used, and pumps vary in capabilities. The strength of a pump is stated in terms of lift and volume capacity. Our crew used a 2 inch trash pump to extract all the water so that drying could be done.
